In retrospect, what may be even more embarrassing than my rap names (there were at least 3) would be the binder I'd filled with mad rhymes. Probably a couple dozen rap songs I'd written on topics ranging from serious topics like the government screwing single mothers by excessively taxing child support payment to "party jams" like The Mosh (I cringe at the thought of those rhymes) to every day teen joints like Wanda (about a girl going out with the protagonist's best friend, but realizing that it was a mistake - thinly veiled teen auto-bio rap!).
If this book were to ever surface...oh man... I don't even want to think about how bad that would be.
Also, if lettering gay manga considered being a grown up? God, I hope not!
Rap was a beautiful thing until about 1994. Started to go a little south for me around then. I still listen to a lot of it, but not a whole lot of new stuff.

1991 was definitely a good time to be listening to rap music.
It's gonna kill me now, wondering what your rap name was.

Luckily they'd all dropped out of school by Grade 11 (or died in drunk driving accidents or B&Es gone sour).

The other option was to have the strap done up, just not over your shoulder.
